As seen in the auction catalog it sold at Christie's several years ago and came from a large Main Estate. It is originally from England and made for a large entrance way in a Large Estate. The bottom is held to the back from 5 large iron bolts that when removed the top comes off so it can be easily moved into any room in the house. The clover bottom is approx. 5.5 feet in diameter and only a 1.5 feet thick when removed from the top. I can be available most times of the day for people interested in purchasing the confidante settee. The upholstery can be changed easily to suit and decor and presently is in a burgundy silk.
